Some architectural projects merely occupy a space. Others transform the way that space is experienced.
Quinta da Bela Vista, in Carcavelos, is a project in which the architecture makes a striking impression, through a contemporary design language, clean lines and a strong relationship between the buildings and the outdoor space.
We have completed the construction of this housing development, comprising 52 flats of types T1, T2, T3 and T4, designed to cater for different lifestyles. The flats are mainly spread over three storeys, creating a development of balanced scale that is integrated into its surroundings.
One of the elements that most defines the project’s identity is the continuous balconies that run along the façades between storeys. Projecting up to 1.60 metres from the façade, they lend depth and rhythm to the buildings, whilst creating outdoor spaces that extend the dwellings themselves.
The strong horizontal character of the architecture, combined with the harmonious repetition of the balconies and the simplicity of the lines, creates a continuous and elegant visual flow. The result is a development in which every element contributes to a coherent, contemporary and highly expressive architectural composition.
More than just a housing development, Quinta da Bela Vista embodies a way of thinking about architecture through the balance between aesthetics, functionality and the relationship with the surrounding space.
